I argue a marked leftward shift in racial ideology has been led by white liberals, with minorities more centrist. Thanks to @ZachG932 for some graphics nytimes.com/2019/03/18/opi… pic.twitter.com/RCyTLoHz6m

Good point. Probably a difficult question to include given the many job interviews people undergo throughout their careers.

Agreed. And one of the reasons why I’ve yet to do so is that there’s no consistent measure of frequency (some years the scales range from ‘never to frequently’, others ‘never to multiple times a day’)

I don't disagree. You also have high-scoring low-SES students that take longer to graduate (if they do at all) because they have to work jobs to sustain themselves.

*Modestly* correlated with parental income (r^2 < 1). And that's not surprising: IQ is 50-80% heritable. Higher IQ-parents tend to earn more money, but they also pass their genes onto their offspring.

If that was the case, we would expect the combined gain from test prep to be larger than 20 points.

What can be done is subsidizing the cost of *taking* the SAT so as to be able to identify gifted minds from low-income families.

And my point is that test prep doesn't provide much return on investment. SAT is essentially an IQ test. And it's hard to 'spend your way' to a significant boost in IQ.

Hey Eunji,
Have yet to write any of this up. I may refer to it in my dissertation, but I was mainly working on it out of genuine curiosity of how the public perceived him pre-MAGA era. I'd be happy to share with you the sources I used if you're interested. Let me know.
