Well put @mtmoneyadventur. We like to keep scenarios simple to illustrate a concept. In the real-world. variables like tax-deductible accounts (401k, IRA) could make a couple with a $35k taxable income pay nearly nothing (standard deduction currently $24k for a couple). twitter.com/mtmoneyadventu…

Great idea for a video topic! The reality is that it's a little complicated. Gold & Silver are "safe havens" that investors run to in times of worry/trouble. This trend is amplified by a huge industry that sells gold/silver at a mark-up (Coins, etc). Great idea for an episode!

Totally agree. Both are learned then reinforced behaviors. And I am a "natural saver" in some ways (love to see money grow, compound interest is addictive), but also a "natural spender" -- have expensive hobbies in bikes & guitars. Everything in finance is learned!
