With rising floodwaters, it’s important to keep your eyes and ears alert for snakes – especially Water Moccasins. The venom of the Water Moccasin is very toxic and kills its victims by causing a hemorrhage at the site where the poison is injected.

The City of Tulsa is closing additional sections of Riverside Drive. 21st to 31st street will be closed. We may have additional closures if the water starts creeping onto other parts of Riverside Drive.

, OKTF1 and the Army National Guard responded to reports of a man in the river early this evening. We are hopeful he somehow made his way safely to the bank. It’s extremely important to avoid the river to ensure your safety.

The Corps increased the release rate at Keystone Dam this morning to 275,000 cubic feet per second. The add’l outflow will be seen in central around noon and south Tulsa County later this afternoon. You can review the interactive map at

The maps are modeled to a flow of 305,000 cubic feet per second. The sustained released at 275,000 will lower than the 305,000 model.
