I wasn't told & didn't find out 'hernia mesh' had been implanted in my pelvic floor until it failed. All pelvic mesh surgery should be stopped NOW including rectopexy. GP surgeries seem to be struggling to replace doctors who retire meaning they are stretched more than I can ever remember. We need local walk-in centres more than ever before. Centralised care, especially next to a hospital, will just make more people go to A+E.
