Stakes is high. (With love to DeLa) Remember: this work is for the futures of our descendants. We love your passion for this advocacy and we understand that there are barriers and annoyances...remember, this is a MARATHON, not a sprint.

Ironically (or unironically), his commentary on Obama captures exactly what you and others have said about the danger & masking of non-ADOS like Obama taking the mantle of "African-American firsts" without being grounded in/energized by the accrued disadvantage of ADOS lineage.

There is an agenda to push reparations for as far out from its genesis as possible. Creating false opposition to the debt through symbolic victories, social handouts, and a decadent veil as so eloquently put. Their using "time" to "avoid" accountability.

Each year Sen. McConnell votes to spend Federal funds (including taxes) to maintain roads, parks, monuments, etc in America, named for people who were pro-Slavery. If Slavery is the past & every1 impacted is dead, STOP federally funding ANYTHING named for ANY1 pro-Slavery.

5/ And this idea that White America did nothing wrong and thus, is not responsible, is the most monstrous of lies. Every time an neighborhood gets a cancer causing plant & u get a picket fence, & u utter not one word in protest, ur responsible. U know it. So do I.

4/ Immigrants came here voluntarily & didn’t build this country or endure 400 CONSECUTIVE years of oppression, nor have they been this country’s garbage disposal during that entire span. Immigrants aren’t owed a debt from 🇺🇸. Again, not my problem.

3/ America didn’t try hard enough after the Civil War. Instead of redistributing land to former slaves, America gave power, resources & land back to Confederates. America failed. Not my problem. Fix it. 🇺🇸

2/ Slavery was just the beginning of the cost to American Descendants of Slaves. We live with the accrued disadvantage from slavery/ Jim Crow /redlining / convict leasing etc. The past is forever with us. The racial wealth gap is the lens thru which we can easiest count that cost

Thanks to for the quote. The ignorance and hostility is breathtaking. Let’s take this apart. 1/ Barack Obama was not Black America’s reparations, just as previous white presidents didn’t not represent a payment to White America # ADOS

So we supposed to believe that U.S. senator Mitch McConnell doesn't understand accrued disadvantage & accrued advantage? These ppl are like Space Jam monsters that need stripping of their power privilege.

I agree That EDU isn’t the only means that should be a form of Reparations. Essentially when we look back into our Past. Education wasn’t a Requirement to infra structurally Build This Nation. It was through Blood Sweat & Tears. So Cash Pymts & a Mixture of programs Suffice!
