We don't have a great grasp on sexism, job ads specify gender etc. So they don't really see an issue saying "We need a guy to review this" it's just a job requirement. No insult intended or embarrassment asking.

Nah, it's all Chinese companies. Real struggle to do reviews here. Can't import anything from overseas, the only things local companies want to send women to review is crappy USB chargers and bluetooth earphones.

Well, statistically the risk is still far lower than encountering mishaps in most travel destinations. But that's not how brains work of course, lots of people avoid airplanes also so it's very interesting that this is becoming a concern- thanks for explaining.

Most of my review units I have to buy, or buy and return. Chinese companies will deny a review unit and then ask you to put them in touch with a male YouTuber in the same damn email.
Tits aren't the universal easy mode you might think, definitely hurts for tech access...
