Thanks for the coverage. 😀 Curious why there's no mention of Wesleyan's declaring itself an Open Hillel: Also, Swarthmore's disaffiliation was due to threatening legal action for "trademark infringement" ...

"Such a letter is unprecedented among the Talmudist community, which is (unsurprisingly) disputatious and tends to shy away from commenting on current affairs..." 😂😂😂 But seriously, end the ridiculous litmus tests and McCarthyism on Israel in communal Jewish institutions!

"Certainly an elected member of the Israeli Knesset, if students want to hear from them, is going to be someone that they’re going to be able to hear from” - So - was an MK for the last decade. Can Hillels host her without fear of lawsuit?

"The group’s vision, [Brown student Hal] Triedman says, is 'an alternative space...explicitly pluralistic...not explicitly Zionist or anti-Zionist or non-Zionist, just reserved for people to have unfinished thoughts and work through things together.'"

Eric Fingerhut is departing as head of . This should trigger elections for Hillel students to vote on their next leader. It won't, b/c unlike Hillel isn't democratic and students have no say in who sets top-level policy at their own organization. cc .
