The never ending attempts by Liberals to reframe this issue as an attack against this woman is maddening. I haven't heard anyone demanding she be bothered. Leave her alone!
The demand was for the Prime Minister to respond fully and according to HIS OWN standards.

Why couldn’t he just say: “I touched her inappropriately and certainly should not have done so. It is for this reason that I apologized the next day. I regret and am sorry for what I did that day.”
He could have done so based on the public record and his knowledge of the action.

I have always said it is unacceptable to litigate allegations of harassment in the media, and that victims need outlets of recourse that are not that. The only acceptable response would have been for the PM to place himself against the same scrutiny that he set for others. His extended hypocrisy is what drove the story. Not acknowledging the huge role his poor response had in revictimizing this woman, is irresponsible.
