Listening now. So good ⁦⁩. This one is about Soviet Russian espionage via East Berlin hackers in the 1980s into NORAD and the honeypot that captured them.

Yeah, I'm with everyone else on this, although I'm not a crypt-expert. There's very little info in the article on these magical code breaking "algorithms", and I'm not highly informed when it comes to either quantum computing or the latest in cryptography.

The team have put out a podcast interviewing me about my days in the cybersecurity industry (and more besides). We recorded this ages ago, so don't remember if I said anything daft. Quite possibly. Forgive me if I did!

Well, to some degree that's already happening. However, AI is not so much discovered all at once, as it is developed bit by bit. But you better believe that hackers are automating different aspects of their malware. But so are defenders, it's an arms race.

here’s a discussion topic: what happens if hackers discover Ai first and create an Ai malware ? The potential of that could be catastrophic

Once they had access, they basically created memory dumps of the memory from those payment systems. That memory actually holds all of the credit card information and all of the identifiable information that allows a credit card transaction to go through.
