QB Justice Kevin Feehan represented Chief Justice Mary Moreau Friday at the swearing-in ceremony of Provincial Court Judge Cheryl Arcand-Kootenay. The newest St. Paul judge is the first female Treaty 6 member appointed to the Provincial Court of Alberta.

We tweet a lot about the Honourable Bertha Wilson because quite frankly, we ❤ her! She retired from the Supreme Court of Canada in 1991 after serving 8 years and 305 days at the highest court.

Chief Justice Smith met with two of the newest appointments to the SCJ today, Madam Justice Llana Nakonechny & Mr. Justice Lorne Sossin, for their official swearing-in as judges of the court. A ceremonial swearing-in ceremony is expected in January 2019.
