Support is also being provided to strengthen capacity on Trafficking in Persons, child labour, irregular migration/labour migration, and policy development. In the last week, the first regional workshop to strengthen collaboration and coordination on Trafficking in Person cases

Technical and financial support were provided in the development of ECOWAS strategic framework for strengthening National Child protection system, and the Child Policy which is under review.

Currently, ILO is also working with the ECOWAS Commission and the Regional working group on child protection/ child rights to enhance the protection of children on the move and to reduce their vulnerabilities to child labour, trafficking and other forms of exploitation.
