Visited the container scanner that facilitates import to the West Bank from Jordan. The scanner was donated by the Netherlands to enhance the Palestinian economy and Israeli security. Glad to hear that both parties, the Israelis and the Palestinians, are pleased with it.

The UN Security Council will discuss Iran today. The Netherlands calls on the Iranian authorities to guarantee fundamental freedoms, including the right to protest, without violence. I expect Iran to follow up on its statement on this. We are monitoring the situation closely.
