It’s 20 years since the first report on Islamaphobia. We shouldn't let the way we talk about this important topic divide us. Instead, we should use this subject to unite. That’s the only way we can tackle prejudice....

we need theological arguments to get long-term attitudinal change because religious people will not be convinced by secular arguments

Arzoo Ahmed and : all religious practice by humans is a social construct, but this does not deny divine inspiration. Philosophical debate about the interpretations of the Qur'an needs to be encouraged.

Now 96yrs old, my grandad was a teen when he joined the British Indian Army. He fought in WW2, saw some of his friends die on the front line. The ones tht survived never recovered from PTSD. We can never forget, because those who fought for our freedom, never will.
