Latest immigration detention stats are out today: In year ending March 2018 26,541 people were detained. 36% were held longer than 28 days. Longest someone had been held was 3.5 years. 0% knew when they would be released. we ended this:

80,000 people in the UK have to regularly report at their local Home Office immigration centre. At every visit, they might be taken to a centre. If you're worried about being detained, the Right to Remain Toolkit has lots of info to help

In the first quarter of 2018, 19% of the people entering were from the EU. For people entering detention in , the figure was 33%. Higher than any other detention centre.
