The story has been updated with additional crucial details. The biggest is that fingerprints collected from sponsors will continue to be shared with ICE. That may continue to cause children to stay for long periods in custody. We'll have to keep a close eye on population counts.

Correct. Still trying to clarify if sponsor fingerprints will be shared with ICE and used for enforcement. Also checking on status of Tornillo contract, which expires December 31.

I've asked them to fix the deck. The policy revision reduces fingerprint requirements but doesn't eliminate altogether. Still working on a number of clarifications.
