If you watched the latest releases from Eastern Syria produced by the Islamic State: the Kurdish forces are suffering the enemy initiatives only during the bad weather days because they can't have the US air support. From now on it's bad weather everyday

If the U.S. is to withdraw from Syria, it should ensure its partners in the Syrian Democratic Forces (#SDF) can survive without them.
This includes pressing Turkey not to attack #Kurdish forces and facilitating a deal between SDF and the Syrian regime.

On this passage from Secretary Mattis’s resignation letter (vox.com/2018/12/20/181…): With President Trump’s latest unilateral decision to withdraw from Syria, but also his staff’s earlier mismanagement of Syria’s southwest, it’s been pretty shocking to see how the Trump... pic.twitter.com/rbzgm17BaU

A rushed U.S. pull-out from Syria would be a new betrayal of the Kurds - and a possible trigger for new conflict, humanitarian crisis & return of ISIS.
@CrisisGroup outlines a deal, including a measure of Kurdish autonomy, that might avert new chaos.
