I rarely ever post public declarations of affection. But each day of the four years since I married this woman—and of the three years we dated before that—I have fallen more and more in love with her. I couldn’t have conjured a more wonderful companion in my wildest dreams. My imagination isn’t strong enough to dream so big. And yet, this is my incredible reality.

These two may be a handful, but they sure bring color and purpose into my life. The next few (quiet) months simply won’t be the same without them. 😢

I’m finally getting around to reading Steven Pinker’s _The Language Instinct_—it’s been on my “to-read” for way too long. So far, I’ve found his unquestioning support of Chomsky’s UG a bit annoying and his brutal takedown of Whorfianism refreshing.

Found out today that a few acceptance/rejection letters from the PhD programs I applied to have just started going out. And now I can't think about anything else. Notification taps from my Apple Watch have become anxiety-inducing. Thanks, thegradcafe.com. 🤞🏽😟
