My battery does not stand long (one day max), but I don't know if the battery is new (the phone is "refurbished") and I frequently use Quasseldroid, Xabber that try to stay "connected" all the time, and the 3G network (sometimes I switch to "2G only" to save battery, but other times I switch back to 3G and stay there).

In any case, note that I installed the nonfree firmware and that could make a difference too.

I didn't realise about overheating, I guess I don't experience it.

I use non-free firmware as well and I have to recharge battery at least once a day, even with a new battery.

I feel overheating sometimes in the lower right part of the phone, in the back.

A mi modo de ver, el único #TrabajoDecente es aquel que cualquiera realiza voluntaria y autónomamente (sola o en compañía de otras) para satisfacer sus necesidades básicas (físicas e intelectuales).

Recovering music and radio in my life

Thanks RadioDroid, I'm listening to music and radio again at home. The radio signal is bad in my neighbourhood, and I just simply had stopped trying.

Now it's holidays and I need to rest and not think too much, so I started to use RadioDroid (first versions in my old phone were not working well, but now it's great (maybe new versions, maybe this new Galaxy S III…).

I needed to replace a thermostat at home, so I looked into "smart" options. Oh, hell no. Radio Thermostat's appear to be the only ones even capable of being controlled locally, and they still require more network management than a sane person wants for something that will need altered maybe a few times a year. Ye simple, cheap programmable ones are just fine for saving without hassle.

I've just filled the Next generation internet survey for the European Union. I've talked about the internet that I want for next years: decentralized, based in open standards and free software, Internet of Things where all the things can function connecting to not only the vendors' platform but also a selfhosted one, an internet where the data is in the hands of the users, where all the software components are auditable and reproducible. An internet where components designed for restrictions as DRM are not part of our accepted standards.

I use two thermos to bring coffee to work. Today I broke one, and discovered that the other one does not close hermetically anymore :( My bag and the coffee are safe, because I put the thermos inside a plastic bag (bad experiences makes you wise). But I have to find a new thermos (or two) :/
