If you use RespondJS in order to allow your site to be responsive on IE6, IE7 or IE8 (not necessary for other browsers or newer versions of IE) then you're going to need to manually download the RespondJS library. We're no longer allowed to package it with Panopoly for licensing reasons. (Full instructions in the release notes!)

I am new to using Panoply. Using page manager, I am attempting to create a page that uses an argument to display specific content in a view. In other words I need to send an argument from the URL to a view in a panel.
Usually in page manager, when adding content, there is a setting to send arguments to the view. I do not see this setting when adding content in Panoply. In testing the page, I see that arguments are not being sent to the view.
How do I send arguments from the URL to the view in a panel?

Read moremakefile discrepancy
The warning on the "Available Updates" page says, "Do not manually update projects within distributions! This includes any project defined in a .make file." In the past, I mistakenly updated some modules on a Panopoly distribution separately from the distribution itself. Now I am doing Panopoly updates correctly, and all my modules are up to date -- both the Panopoly modules and Contrib modules that are part of the distribution. However, now I seem to have a permanent discrepancy between the actual modules installed and the contents of the Panopoly makefile.

Hey all,
I have been using panopoly for a few websites lately (one with rather complex functionality and quite some extra modules).
As we all know drush cannot update modules inside distributions the way it handles modules inside sites/all/modules
With drush dl this is not so bad (all though I think this drush should be able to do this somehow!)
However, with one project I have about 30 modules that extend panopoly.
It would be great if I can use drush up for those, instead of checking every module seperately and making a long command with specified modules each time I update.

Hi Everyone,
Today, Drupal 8.0.0 was finally released!
To celebrate, we also released the first -alpha release of Panopoly for Drupal 8! Unfortunately, it doesn't do that much yet, but we have to start somewhere. :-)
THIS ISN'T MEANT TO BE USED IN PRODUCTION (YET)!
This is currently in the -alpha stage, and isn't meant for general consumption - only people interested in helping port Panopoly to Drupal 8. When we enter the -beta stage, then you could really build sites with it.

I just performed a Panopoly upgrade on a dev site I'm working on and it went well. However the Security Review is showing 6 errors out of a possible 10 items and I haven't altered the basic Panopoly at all, I just added some modules and content. I'm wondering if these errors are normal for Panopoly and whether there are any guidelines for fixing them if they are typical for Panopoly.
I have fixed a few issues such as adding a base URL to the settings.php and "Errors are written to screen." But I'm not sure how to fix
"PHP files in the Drupal files directory can be executed."

There are so many approaches for creating and maintaining a Drupal site. Panopoly looks to have done a great job of identifying the best collection of modules and bundled them into a distribution.
I have read lots and watched the development of Drupal for a number of years. I have little problem getting Drupal or Panopoly installed. I have run an internal Drupal 6 site and migrated it to Drupal 7. The concepts of doing things make sense during the read, but for some reason or another the implementation details seem to always have several challenges for me.
