I cannot understand the long thread on the mailing list about FIXME vs fixme tag. OSM data is so messy and flexible, that any QA should be able to handle that.

@thinkMoult Hello, did you know about the OSM specific mastodon instance? :)

THIS IS IT! My company is finally switching from Google Maps to OpenStreetMap!

This is challenging: we need maps, but also Geocoding and reverse, Directions, addresses autocompleteโ€ฆ switch2osm.org lists some libs, but Iโ€™d love to hear from real devs. Do you have resources and tips to share? Feedback on how to configure the different libs? E.g. nominatim often doesnโ€™t find addresses, but Iโ€™m sure it can be tweaked.

Real simple goal. ๐Ÿ™‚

@GOwin @GOwin you can always just look at the local timeline and stuff. It's a federated software system!

We use the name Mapstodon here

Mastodon allows custom emojis. I'll have to add some custom OpenStreetMap emojis for this instance

I am loving #StreetComplete, the #OpenStreetMap editor. I always thought it was cool, but I've used it heavily over the last few days. I think it's part of the future of #OSM. It's how we can beat Google
