I am an 18 year old girl. I got my bank account about a year ago and I have saved up about 7000 dollars from working and I put it all in there. In the beginning my mom allowed me to keep my account information a secret from them but about a month ago she really wanted to know my information which makes me uncomfortable because we literally no longer speak to one side of our family because they stole money from us and I am so afraid the same thing may happen between me and my parents. First she asked me for my online banking account information. She was acting like she was being helpful in doing this because then she could check my account on her phone for me when we are in public. The first time she asked I avoided giving it to her. I told her that was unnecessary because I have it on my phone. She accepted that answer but asked me again a week later and when I said no she got angry and said it hurts her feeling I don't trust her so I gave her my login information. Now just yesterday she asked me what my pin number was and I told her she doesn't need to know. She got mad at me again and said it hurts her feeling that I don't trust her. I told her that I wanted to avoid the situation that she got into with my grandparents (how they stole from her) and she said she would never do that. She then told me her pin number and I felt bad so I told her mine. After I told her my pin number my dad laughed and said that she told me the wrong pin number to her bank account. (cont.)
