Traveling with children

Airbnb is committed to maintaining an inclusive and respectful community that is welcoming of all people, including people traveling with children. Many of our hosts pride themselves on creating spaces for memorable family vacations.

  • Hosts may specify that their space has features (or lack of features) that could lead a guest to determine that the listing is unsuitable for guests with children.
  • Ultimately the decision as to whether a listing is appropriate for a guest, their family, or their co-travellers is up to the guest. Everything pertinent to a listing should be included in the listing details to help the guest make an informed decision, but guests should feel free to message the host if they have questions about the listing.
  • Please note that hosts are allowed to place reasonable restrictions on how guests use their listing when required for legal or compliance reasons, but this should be clearly mentioned in the listing. For example, hosts may limit the use of certain items in their house to adults.

You may also want to consider letting the host know who’s coming—including infants and children—when making a trip request.
