Send documents in a message
Attaching and sending documents, like a PDF, directly in messages isn't possible—however, you can share a link to your document if it’s hosted on a file-sharing platform such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or WeTransfer.
Send document links
Once you’ve uploaded your document to your preferred file-sharing platform, you can share the link in messages with a host or guest.
Send document links on desktop
- Click Messages and select the thread you want
- Type or paste in the link to your document that’s been uploaded to a file-sharing platform
- Click Send

Choose share settings that make your link shareable
Most file-hosting platforms allow you to adjust privacy settings, so you can control who has access to your file—you may also be able to restrict access or require a password. Make sure to check the settings to ensure that your host or guest can access your document.
