We are Jamie and Liz, two Brits (and a cat) on a boat. And we are telling our story of life at sea through this sailing channel. 

The adventure began in 2005 when we swapped the daily grind for an alternative lifestyle. Built in 1989, SY Esper is an Oyster 435 cutter-rigged ketch. So far we have sailed across seas from Turkey to Thailand in her, through pirates, storms and coral reefs. 

This is peaceful easy-living, not a race to sail round the world. If we like a place we stay awhile.

Along the way, we picked up another crew member, Millie-the-cat. She is never happier than when Liz is fishing at anchor, or trolling at sea. 

Every week we upload the next vlog. There are palm-tree days and the wind can be kind, but we're not afraid to let you see what happens when it all goes wrong...
