    This is my first true fully edited video. Its a video I made from several hours of machine work and many short videos I made using my Gopro Hero 3 camera. Im still learning how to use the software so I know its not perfect, but hopefully I'll get better with more practice. The video is about a trunnion mount a machined from start to finish, hopfully showing the steps it takes to build the part. This is a 5 minute clip into my daily work life. Show less

  • Rotary Welding Table Build Play all

    This playlist is about my Rotary Welding Table project. Part 1 starts with my ideas and concept, the first chip making, and each episode after continues on to another stage of the project. I share many aspects of manual machining, including use of the manual lathe and milling machine, also layout, bench work, and fitting.
    Most of the materials were from around my shop, including the faceplate that we used for the welding table top, the center column, and bushing material. The center shaft was used from a salvaged 5 1/2" hydraulic rod, and the locking handle was also an old hydraulic rod too.
    This project spans 4 months, and involves the help from many other individuals from across the YouTube community. It was a pure joy to build, and was quite rewarding to see the final concept in my shop once it was finished.
