it’s true - everyone knows the ONLY choice is between no guns at all and untrammeled open carry of battlefield-grade weaponry

Serious q for gun control advocates: you’ve failed to effect change. Pls face it. You can’t do it, thx to the 2A. We’re all well aware you don’t like that fact, but fact it is. What’s next? Must we just stay here sad, concerned, lamenting? Could we possibly talk OTHER SOLUTIONS?

I spent the last year making a podcast about interrogations, the manipulation of memory in the criminal justice system, and a Texas Ranger who says he has “no unsolved crimes” in his record. Ep1 out 5/1. Please help me spread the word! Trailer here:

Reading that BuzzFeed memo and the tone--studied sadness, pious talk about the challenging atmosphere, self-recrimination as a form of self-exoneration, a bright eye on the future--is the most legacy-media thing I've ever seen. Some things never change. I wish their writers well.

Since we’re on the subj of team—bc this is about my family, I’m prob getting more credit than the avg podcast writer/host. But this wasn’t written like a memoir (thank god). It was a collaboration. And if it works it’s bc @lindskilbride and (aka Sean) know audio.

Who was the grand champ of novel titles? (Criteria: not just one interesting title, but a series of them, across the entire oeuvre.) For my money, it's García Márquez, Toni Morrison, and Faulkner. Try to beat "Absalom, Absalom!," with that exquisite exclamation mark. You can't.
