    Agreed

    The interesting thing with criticism of KAK -and it’s seemingly a regular thing now- is so much of it is blatantly sexist and ageist and most of the time from presumably younger women. Seems the rules don’t apply if you don’t agree with the politics.

    So sad a giant, has died. I sat w him at a dinner just after my book came out. He was brilliant, funny, intellectually curious, committed to social justice, child protection, esp for kids let down by institutions. What a PM. My tribute now: @ 8.15

    what Hawke and Keating did changed the culture and course of this country like no other leaders. Our progress under Hawke was off the charts. Apart from that, Hawke had such a full and rich life, full of big highs and lows. Didn't waste a minute. In awe.
