    If everyone publicly proclaiming that they would intervene actually did so, then we'd be making a real dent in rape culture. I wish people would stop lying to themselves and each other. Most people turn away when it's in your own backyard.

    I’m not advocating privatizing. I’m asking for a professional management team and an interim appointed board. The state is the only entity that has that authority. HISD is failing students and failing teachers and failing Houston. Give me a better solution.

    It would have been nice if you called out the racism against Lathan OR even spoke to us activists and parents involved in keeping HISD OUT OF STATE CONTROL... No on the take over, YES on 1882 & 1842 REPEALS. Don't crap on the democratic process...

    The state needs to step in and take over, appointing an all new board and superintendent. How many years of chaos does it take before someone acts for our kids?
