Gender Institute Awarded LSE Vision Fund Grant for Teaching Innovation

LSE’s new Pro-Director Education Vision Fund, established to support the delivery of the School’s Education Strategy with funds of £100,000 annually for projects designed to make a significant impact on students’ educational experiences, has just made its first awards. The Gender Institute is delighted to announce that the Vision Fund is supporting our innovative teaching practices. 

We are delighted to announce the members of the Gender Institute’s new Advisory Committee who will support and advise the GI in a range of activities. Each month, we will be profiling a member of the Advisory Committee and this month we are featuring Alpa Shah. 

The Persistence of Gender Inequality - New Book by Mary Evans 

In this engaging new book, Mary Evans argues that optimistic narratives of progress and emancipation have served to obscure long-term structural inequalities between women and men, structural inequalities which are not only about gender but also about general social inequality.
