Hover doesn’t seem like it would help much with a smartwatch. Might add some more flexibility to finger gestures on a larger touchscreen.

DRONE NEED MOAR POWER

As the former Air Force anti-drone specialist explained to me: giant lasers are really frickin’ cool, but don’t make much sense in a civilian setting. You aren’t going to try and shoot down drones over an airport.

Holograms are amazing. The fun thing about today’s news is how straightforward it is. High quality live streaming from concerts and sporting events is now possible. The idea of being able to sit front row at a concert or center court at the big is compelling, and could be priced so that a big audience can afford it.

The other big consumer drone manufacturers are Parrot, 3D Robotics, and Yuneec. But DJI is definitely the leader, in terms of sales, by a fairly substantial margin.
