Tesla is planning a pair of product events in October, according to a tweet from CEO Elon Musk. The first is a "Tesla product unveiling" on Monday October 17th that Musk says was "unexpected by most." It could be the "big" follow-up event for the Model 3 that Musk promised earlier this year or something else entirely.

We were already aware of the other event, targeted for Friday October 28th, thanks to previous tweets by Musk. Tesla is planning to unveil a residential solar roof with integrated batteries as part of its SolarCity acquisition. The solar roof was the first item in Musk’s "Master Plan, Part Deux" for Tesla, released back in July.
Tesla’s public relations team had no details to add about either event when contacted by The Verge this morning.
