Partnership with The Literacy Group
Kitchener Public Library partners with The Literacy Group of Waterloo Region by providing tutoring space for adult learners and their tutors at Central Library.
The Golden Oak Award
The Golden Oak Award provides an opportunity for new readers in adult literacy programs to read books chosen specifically for them. They can read the books by themselves, with their tutors, or as part of a reading group. These nominations encourage new adult readers to gain the skills to accomplish everyday tasks, as well as foster a love of reading.
