The purpose of this site is to help students, parents and teachers with their science fair assignments. We offer topics, ideas, experiments, resources and sample projects by academic level: primary school, elementary school, middle school and high school.

Remember that scientific subjects many times overlap and a good idea could be found in more than one branch of science. Overlapping possibilities:

• Botany, environment, chemistry, biology
  
• Earth sciences, environment
  
• Solar energy, electricity, electronics, physics
  
• Environment, zoology
  
• Physics, engineering
  

For example, the water subject could be found in botany (irrigation), chemistry (water chemistry), environment (water pollution, drinking water quality), renewable energy (water energy), Earth sciences (oceanography) and more. The topics, as mentioned above, are presented by academic level when possible: primary school (grades K-3), elementary school (grades 4-6), middle school (grades 7-9), high school (grades 10-12). In this respect we would like to mention that a suitable project idea could be found in two neighboring levels, for example:

• Primary school � elementary school
• Elementary school � middle school
• Middle school � high school

At the end of each section are listed "useful links" that offer more scientific background and links that offer additional information about science fair procedures and "how to".

In general our pages offer topics, ideas, resources, experiments and sample projects. The resources are of two types: experiments (marked by �E�) and sample projects (marked by �P�).

Caution! Remember that these project ideas, samples and outlines are meant to help you complete your own science fair project. But it is dishonest and unethical to copy someone else's project and submit it as if it were your own. That is called plagiarism. It is okay to do the same project as someone else, or review what others have done so you can make your project better, but do not copy and pretend it is yours.

Beware!!! Experiment activities could be very dangerous. All the experiments and activities in this site should be supervised by teachers or adults familiar with electrical and hazardous materials safety procedures and general safety procedures. Pay attention to the safety links.
