Published every Thursday, the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report is CDC's weekly journal highlighting public health investigation, along with providing reports and recommendations derived from science-based research. Emerging Infectious Diseases Journal

Emerging Infectious Diseases is a peer-reviewed journal established expressly to promote the recognition of new and reemerging infectious diseases around the world and improve the understanding of factors involved in disease emergence, prevention, and elimination. The journal is fully electronic and open access. Articles are published online throughout the month, followed by a hardcopy edition.

On the second Tuesday of each month, CDC Media Relations will highlight selected articles from the journal.
