Our Second Annual Short Film Festival

We want to celebrate your adventures; when you broke out of your comfort zone and experienced something or someplace you never imagined possible. When you pushed on to squeeze in one more city or ventured off the beaten path in pursuit of those hot springs or that bowl of ramen you’ve been dreaming about since you booked your airfare. Show us how—and where—you went for it.

That thing you never did before—swam with whale sharks in Baja, Mexico; rode around in a rickshaw in Kolkata; fell in love on a road trip through the Pacific Northwest, drove to the airport in your hometown and hopped a flight to who-knows-where? Yeah, we want to see that.

We’re not just talking about all the phenomenal foods you’ve discovered and devoured on your travels—though we want to see all of that, plus those standout cocktails, teas, aperitifs and late-night room service orders. But the flavor of a place is sometimes best experienced through its people, customs, and traditions. It’s all of those things that make a destination worth the journey.

For some travelers, it’s that instant when toes meet sand. For others, it’s the blissful solitude of a rainforest. Heck, it could be that bowl of Spaghetti Carbonara from that no-name restaurant you stumbled upon in Rome. Where’s your happy place?

E.E. Cummings wrote that “love is a place.” And anyone who’s been bit by the travel bug knows exactly what that means. It’s not something we can pinpoint, or even put into words, but we all know it when we see it. Show us yours.
