Common Questions

How do I sign in to my LightCMS site?

Simply type /login at the end of the website address you created during the sign up process. See the Getting Started video (above) for more details.

How do I select a new design for my LightCMS website?

Simply click "Design" on the top toolbar and you'll be able to choose from any of our free, professionally-designed templates. You can even customize any of our designs with the built-in Design Editor.

Can I use my own design or get a custom design?

Absolutely! LightCMS was built for custom design. If you know HTML and CSS, you can do it yourself, or if you need help, one of the experienced designers in the LightCMS Professionals Network can assist you.

Does LightCMS work with HTML and CSS standards?

Yes. In fact, HTML and CSS are the only languages you need to know to create your own design. There are no proprietary languages to learn.

Can I use my own domain name?

Of course! Use your own domain and/or point multiple domains to your LightCMS website. Simply follow our domain name guide.

Is email hosting included with LightCMS?

Email is not built into LightCMS. You are free to use any email service you would like. Many use Google Apps for Your Domain but again, you are free to use any email service.

Can I use a language other than English on a website?

Yes, LightCMS supports any language you would like to have on your site. Currently, the administration side of LightCMS is all in English.
