I can't locate this one in my pressed glass references; any help appreciated! 9.5" high at lip. Is there a name or description for the handle shape?

I have the vase that is pictured second from the right. I believe the designer is Richard Blenko, but can't find the shape number. It has a Blenko 2002 etched mark. Thanks in advance!
Any idea who might have made this frosted cheese dish? All ideas appreciated. Bottom piece measures 8" with center ring 6" and with lid on measures 6" tall.
Hoping for some direction on these hang tag markings. I believe they are modern pieces. One reminds me of art glass candies. The darker one is possibly a mix of Chrysoprase and tanzanite. Any information on the designer or stones is greatly appreicated. TIA
Wondering if this could be a Master Salt? It's made by Farber Brothers, N.Y. Measures 4" x 4" and has a cobalt blue heavy glass insert. Could it be a mint dish? Thanks for any ideas and help.
Rhinestones are very different and I am having a problem describing them. Set is old and very well made it is all wired to brass backing. I have a headache from looking at so many web sites and can't fine anything like this.

Going to breakfast....
I have bought this vintage Gucci handbag from an online seller at a low price recently. I have done some research and believed that it was authentic. Since the handbag has not much sign of wear and in a really good condition, and also due to my mum's negative comments, I start to doubt if it is authentic or not. The bag has no serial number but only a two-digit number, the gold stamp shows "Italy" instead of "Made in Italy" and it has a YKK zipper. Could anyone please tell me if it is authentic or not, and if so, which decades is it from? Many thanks!!
Hi everyone!
Diane
I think the first mark is a P or LP in a square mark and the second a cursive g in a circle mark.
Thank you very much!!
Good morning everyone.

Hi I need any info that antone can tell me about this piece. The bottom lable is hard to tead. Maybe made in Italy? It is about 9.5" tall 10" wide. All seems to be made of metal. Thanks for any info.
I just acquired this silver dollar and was wondering if I should attempt to clean it in any way before selling. Would using a polishing cloth for silver jewelry be appropriate, or should I just leave it alone and sell as-is?
These all stand 5 3/4" tall and measure 3 3/8" across the top. They ring when you tap them. Any idea on maker?
This is from a navy guy who served in the Pacific during WWII during 1942-1944 aboard a number of different ships. He has identified it as a Japanese Revenue Stamp. No denomination that I can find and googling Japanese Revenue Stamp didn't bring up a photo like it. Any idea what this was used for?
made in BelgiunHas a small glazing flaw on rim...not a chip.
Good Morning! This beautiful blue/purple aventurine art glass vase has me stumped. Has a signature and date -1998- but I am not getting anywhere...hoping someone is familiar with signature...thank you in advance! ( still cant figure out how to rotate picture in here...sorry)
Testing a thermos.
Selling a thermos, is not like selling some piece of clothes. It cannot be evaluated by photos alone. Something more you have to do, to be sure you're selling a good working product.
I have bought somo 100 or more thermoses here in Ebay in the past 5 years. I learned this the hard way, eg.buying faulty good looking thermoses, and wasting money in the process.
Another curiosity I learned, is that the best looking thermoses, also the listed as New never used, have high fault rate.
If you are a seller that want to sell good merchandise, please take some time to test your thermos this way. You would have peace of mind to be offering a good working item, and would save you the hard time of dealing with a dispute with Ebay and your customer.
HERE GOES THE TEST
1.- Boil enough water to fill the thermos completely and some more.
2.- Pour some boiling water in the thermos and let it stand 1 minute. This is for preheating the vessel.
3.- Discard the water and now fill the thermos with boiling water to the top.
4- If you have a kitchen thermometer, take note of starting temp. (This is not required, but it is useful).
Here I show my test, Thermometer shows 95.8ºC =204ºF)
4.- Place the stopper and let the thermos stand alone for at least 8 hours. 12 hours is best.
5.- For a fast evaluation, you can feel the outside walls with your hands. Any warming would be indication of heat leaking, thus a faulty thermos.
6.- After 8-12 hours, you can open the thermos and test the water temperature. It should be very hot to the touch.
(In my test, it showed 56.1ºC = 133ºF)
That is my 2 cents to the community.
Cheers
Fernando

My magazine indexing project takes some strange turns. Though I'm concentrating on 1937-1942 women's magazines, I detoured recently to The New Yorker because I bought a couple of ads with no source ID. (How to drive a researcher crazy, lesson 1!) The 1934 ad is for Libbey Trianon stemware and the 1949 ad is for Duncan & Miller's Venetian punch bowl set. After puzzling over those pages for a week or more, it finally dawned on me to google some keywords on the reverse side of one of the ads referring to the week's New York theater offerings. Which then made it clear why Macy's placed a full-page store ad in a major magazine.
So off to the library I went to peruse bound volumes of the 1949 New Yorker, starting with January 1 and working methodically through the year even though I was fairly sure the D&M ad appeared in November. OK, I cheated. For the second session, I jumped ahead from May 21 to September 17 and beyond. Next trip, I'll work on the summer months.
I'm glad I skipped ahead to November because I found an intriguing ad in the November 5 edition for Black, Starr & Gorham's retail store on 5th Avenue.
Being American silversmiths whose heritage dates back to about 1810, their ads generally feature silver tableware, flatware and jewelry. So this ad showing glassware really caught my interest! The martini pitcher has the distinctive shape and handle of West Virginia Specialty Glass and the 6 oz. double cocktails are consistent with their products, too. The hand-sculptured thoroughbred horses decoration is definitely NOT something I would expect to see on WVSG's wares!
So what do you think? Is there any other glass manufacturer who might have made the pitcher and glasses? Who might have done the decoration? Does anyone here have some examples or documentation to share? Does anyone want to go back to 1949 and buy this set at $20 plus 50 cents for postage?
By the way, the 1949 New Yorker magazine is a goldmine for Steuben Glass ads -- so far, I've documented 17 and I still have to read another 4 months -- complete with sizes and prices. The D&M ad was published on November 26; the crystal punch bowl plus ruby-handled ladle and 12 cups sold for $16.50.

Quick question...Y/N? V76
I bought an item from a seller and apparently, he broke the rules so eBay pulled his listing... Okay, that's great, I'm glad that eBay is actually enforcing the rules for once, but why did they delete the NAME of the item, as well as the PHOTOS and DESCRIPTION from my purchase history? It doesn't make any sense!
I buy between 25-50 items a week and without a title, description or photos, how am I supposed to know what I bought? I can't check my email inbox because it's my supervisors account. It's the end of the week and I'm supposed to tally up all our eBay purchases and put them into the expense report. This really complicates my billing and financials, as well as our inventory system.
Hi All. I found an old paper picture with a concept drawing of a flying machine dropping bombs on ships with smokestacks. It's 3.5" x 5.5" in size, blank back with some age. It's paper stock, not a postcard. The edges all have a white border, one is not even, but doesn't show signs of being hand cut.
There's an oval inset with a picture of a military guy with handlebar moustaches, but don't recognize him. Can anyone guess the age, origin, or name of the man in the picture?
The airplane or dirigible itself is not fully in view, strangely. It has a propellor at the front and 4 discs on stands on top. It's hard to see, but there are people dropping bombs by hand in the open area in the middle. I would guess this to be from the WW1 era.
Any ideas? Is it a plate from a book?
Thanks,
Bill
Got this over the weekend for $1.00 Does anyone recognize the maker?. I was thinking Fulper, but not marked. Any keywords would be helpful. Thanks!

I have never seen a doll like this before. Can anyone help me identify her? Thank you!!
Hi, This penguin is about 5 1/2 inches tall, including the base. It is hollow, and attached to a solid round base that is slightly textured on the underside.
The shape is similar to the Blenko penguin, but all the Belnko ones I have seen are much larger, and generally not on a base. I did see 2 blue penguins on square clear bases on Worthpoint, identified as Blenko, but again much larger. I looked through all the 80s Blenko catalogs, and did not see any penguins with bases. There were large and small ones, but I can't tell what the height of the small ones is.
Any thought on who the maker could be?
Thanks!
Marked "Edgewater Hotel - 1946- Chicago" on the bottom of each one.
The bowls are only about 1.5" across, to small to hold change, too small to be an ashtray.
Thought maybe vases? but the stems would have to be curved.
The peices are hollow, so the bowl has no bottom.
Help!

I have Recieved 1000`s of beads from my Aunt, all kinds and ages anyone know what these may be?
Hi, Found this in one of the storage units, have done some research and can find Piel Genina, but not the Abascal.
I would greatly appreciate sny and all imput. There are no tags inside stating the material. I'm almost positive the hardware is brass.
Inside appears to be suede
I look forward to reading your thoughts

Label is unreadable, but is anyone familiar with the logo (what looks like leaves on left side of label)? Saw it on eBay ages ago; saved the photo. (BTW, I rememer the person had it for at least a few hundred dollars as the starting price, so it's probably one of those boutique brands.)
Thanks!
Hello, I need the experts help.
I like this wristlet but I can not find anything similar, yes a lot of glitter ones but none with this design (two tone and pocket on the back). Could you please let me know if authentic (looks like it is, but I am no expert), and style if you can identify? TIA

Since I have a no return policy I politely said no and there was alot of interest in this item. It is heavy -6 pounds, so I was thinking of all that shipping back and forth. I got this nasty email back saying I was costumer unfriendly, how does he know if he will like it if he can't touch it etc. I did not respond. I am wrong not to allow this. Believe me, a buyer can find something wrong with anything. I have blocked them as I think they will be a problem. Any thoughts?
Hi Folks,
Have bought a few knives from this seller in the past. Have never been charged for shipping on any of my purchases. Yesterday he placed an ad for Two Pearl Handled Stiletto Knives. I started the bid with .01, a one cent bid. Checked my eBay account a few hours later and discovered that I won the auction items. What a deal! I bought two knives for one penny. Then the statement reflected a shipping charge for $13.99. Guess I got snagged on this one. I didn't check the shipping charges before I placed that One Penny bid. It is my fault and I will probably pay for it as normal. The actual cost of this transaction is not entirely unreasonable.
Thanks for listening,
Lonnie
I've encountered this issue more than once: Buyer makes an offer to one of my listings (all my listings are "Buy It Now or Best Offer". In the offer page I can only see buyer's shipping zip code. Once I accept offer, buyer's complete address shows up and it is a PO Box address. As I offer free economic shipping on everything, most likely USPS is not an option other than light stuff. I've tried to contact buyers in such situation, some responded with a physical address, some never did. In the latter case, I just had to ship USPS and take a lose.
On other hand, I don't want to list "do not ship to PO Box" because I do sell clothing which I have no problem shipping USPS first class to a PO Box address.
For those buyers who don't response, what should I do?
One of the things I like to Buy is Thompson Chain Bibles. I give them to My Relatives. I try and buy cheap. So I found an Auction listing. The Seller was NEW, in fact, it was his FIRST Sale (on this account.)
I decided to take a chance on the New Seller I BID and Won it. When I got the Bible IT was in a Manila Type Envelope with a brittle plastic on the Outside. Both ends were open and the Plastic was brittle so IT split open. I think It was hit by an automation hook, as the binding had a dent in the leather. It did not tear the bible but just dented the leather.
I gave the Seller All five stars and Excellent ratings Even with this problem. I Imagine that He was disappointed that he did NOT get More Money for it.
I'd really Like to message him and tell him about the damaged envelope. I also Did Not get feedBack. I know that is really Not Important to some Sellers, but it is to me! So, I see All these Problems he Did and would like to contact him and tell him about it. Should I or Not? Pam
I just listed an item today starting bid at $289.00 with free shipping, I got a message on eBay from a potential buyer saying this:
"Will you take 275 shipped to Iowa if I gift you the paypal? You can call or text me if you will. Thanks
James 641.4xx.4xxxx"
(phone number redacted by myself)
As a side question, I'm not sure what he means when he says "...gift you the paypal." Odd wording IMO, or is "gifting" an actual thing people can do?
Thanks!
| I received the message below. He wants to send a check but is willing to collect only after the check as cleared. Is this fraud? | |

I recently purchased a tablet pc from a seller named digitopstore. you good google him up)
He said he's based in Taiwan and seemed to have changed ID 4 times.
He never replied to ANY of my messages.(I messaged him 5 times) It took him days to shipped the item and when I look up the tracking, It says the carrier is SL post but never displays status or any other shipping information.
The tracking number is LK123568461 which doesn't appear in any of the carrier's offical tracking data base. To be honest, the tracking number itself looks like it was farbricated. 123..568? really?
Should I be concern? Should I guickly conatct ebay? The latest delveriry estimate is 26 fays from now.
I'm trying to list my Rocketfish Speaker and when I click LIST NOW I get this message

***You are opted into business policies. The app you are listing with does not support business policies listings.***
I don't have a clue what the heck they want me to do!!!
Anybody out there knows what is wrong!?
Holy Guacamole, there are so many rules I'm going nutz trying to figure this stuff!
I tried so hard to appease the darn computer, just revising a listing is becoming a chore...why can they simplify things instead of throwing more red tape on every thing I try to do!!!!
I'm really baffled by this one and wonder if it happens often and what others think about it.
Seller stated (s)he does not combine shipping. Shipping for each item = $7.50 (flat rate 2-day bubble envelope).
I purchased 3 BIN items, requested invoice total and seller submitted 3 invoices, each with same flat rate shipping fee.
after I pay in one transaction, seller sends individual tracking links for each item purchased.
No tracking numbers, just 'package location' tracking. All 3 links show the packages arrived at local post office 4:17am the day of delivery. Turns out it was the same package / same link, just content description different on each 'order'.
When delivered, all items arrived in single envelope. Nothing else was in the envelopes but the 3 items, no print-out, no 5-star rating request, no used tissue (thank you)!
I may be wrong, and it's a tough call to make, but are sellers allowed to profit on shipping? I checked the actual cost for shipping the envelope (USPS provided) = $6.10.
I know the seller pays for ink & invests time, and I know there are eBay fees to cover. I'd think the extra $1.40 should have covered that. Seller actually got an extra $16.40 in shipping from 3 items that I bought: almost 2x total bin price.
It's okay to laugh, I did...my 5 year old grandaughter asked to buy them for her mommy on mommy's day...and gave me the contents of her piggy bank (total $4.32 change I put there to begin with).
Priceless!
This is is an east coast USA seller shipping to central USA buyer.
I did accept the seller's terms, but Suspect seller is abusing the system.
As a result of the items being shipped in one envelope without additional packaging, the items were slightly damaged.
if they had been shipped in individual envelopes, or individually wrapped in bubble-wrap before being put in one envelope, this particular damage would not have happened.
I've sent the seller a message regarding my confusion over the store shipping policy and described the damages; offering to send photos of the items as I received them, but 4 days and no reply.
is this a learning experience on my part; has this seller stepped over the policy line; or found that sweet spot to stand on the edge of the line?
im not terribly concerned about how it works out in my case...I can repair the items, and I'd pay it again to see that same little smile, but if there is reasonable action I should take to prevent others from harm, I will. If seller has the right to do this, I don't want to be a nuisance or waste my time.
I welcome opinions, especially from sellers...I am an old-timer on eBay, but only as a buyer.
Thanks for for taking the time to read my post!
two listings of an identical item I was thinking of selling also were listed as buy now at $59 and $65 respectively. So I decided to auction because they had 5 and 3 watchers. Surely out of at lest 5 watching I'd get a bid.. eBay suggested to start at 32 so I did. It sold and I'm fine with it but can't understand why it was not bumped up since amount of people watching. Bam I paranoid that people scam by watching? Or is it just listing priority and that I am new? Any comments welcome.
Hello everyone, hope you guys had a great day
and please give me some information about the problem to which I am facing ![]()
Ok so long story short,
A new seller selled me an used laptop for fairly cheap price($800)while turns out to be a no longer useable condtion
which did not match the descrition( The photos he provided were nice)
So I then asked him nicely to return it to get my money back
And he agreed, provided my a Priority Mail 3-Day return shipping label with Signature Confirmation
because the USPS post office is pretty far from my house(20mins driving) I then ordered a pickup
Now here is the issue: I noticed that my packages were no longer being scanned when picked up at my house. The USPS lady just picked it up and told me that she's going to hand it to the post office for the shipment.( 5/13/16)
And 1 day after, The tracking number still shows Pre-Shipment with no update
to which caused me nervous
It 's possible that the seller did not purchased the scan form and fill it out
It's sketching me out because it could turns out the seller get his item back and keep my money
What can I do now?
The tracking number is 9382020130300846131510 USPS
Thank you guys

I sent my buyer the wrong item and contacted her. When we got it straightened out she left Negative feed back. I went to respond to it and it said I don't have feedback to respond to. What do I do or how do I contact Ebay?
My buyer "bought" my product, but posted it as "Payment Sent". Then, my buyer immediately requested all of my personal information, to which eBay complied. I have received no payment; and this person keeps texting my personal phone asking for my Paypal information. I have invoiced them and have messaged them in regard to the purchase to no avail. I will open up a case against them in two days... But this is the second time in two weeks that someone has tried to get my Paypal info. Is this happening a lot to other people? There is also an obvious security loophole to get personal information. I have called eBay, but they didn't sound too concerned. Should I be?
Once the buyer pays for the item they won in the auction, do i have to pay out of my own pocket to ship the item to them or is there a way i can do it for free? Any help and suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.
I have lots of watchers on items but most end without selling? Any suggestions as to how to turn watchers into buyers? I have tried auctions, fixed price, promotions, free shipping, and nothing seems to make a difference. Thanks
Has anyone heard of any new listing promotions coming up?

Any ideas?
i saw an item with good price from china. way way lower than other chinese sellers but seller has zero feedback. is it safe to buy from them?
Long story short. A customer purchased through Best Offer 12 dishes on Thursday. I was going to file Unpaid Item on Monday if she did not pay.
She sent me an ebay message on Saturday evening asking to cancel. I said yes, issued a Cancel request Saturday evening as Buyer Requested (problem with buyer's address). I asked her to please accept cancellation so I would be refunded my selling fees and be able to relist.
As of today, she has not accepted the cancellation, and the automated ebay message says Cancel will close out in 10 (yes 10) days. Just called ebay to see if they could close it out now by reading her message. They said no, if she does not accept it, it will close in 10 days. I was also told by ebay that I could go ahead and relist it now (which sounds like bad advice to me).
So, any advice would be appreciated. If I can't get her to accept the cancellation, should I wait the 10 days or call ebay back and try to get another rep. Seems ridiculous to me that I have to wait 10 days on customer requested cancellation. TYIA!

Today I sold an item and instead of taking me to the normal eBay shipping site, I was redirected to Paypal and forced to print my label there. This would be ok, except that in addition to the shipping label there is now an online customer record which takes up the other half of the page. This means that, since I use half sheet labels, when I print the label, it will print the stupid online customer record on a second label, thus wasting the second label!! What the hell, eBay? Is this the way it's going to be now?
Just started doing this annoying prompt. Suddenly. Tried different pictures twice now. Keep getting the prompt that picture file is corrupted. The item is a mailbox magnet cover. Could a magnetic field be messing with my camera? Pictures simply will not load.
I won a biding. The seller was located n France and accepted returns. Item arrived but was as not described. the seller disapeared. I oen a case. The resolution center close the case tellng that seller idid nt answer. I try to change the item in Hermes with the receipt provided. It was fake.
What to do next? Ebay remove the item. I have to pay 266€ for a fake Hermes with a fake receipt from China ?
Hi can someone please help me identify this maker mark?

This is a stupid question, but I'm just confused about local pickup/cash only. Plus, I do have something I want to list as local pickup only and want to get clarification and then decide whether or not to do it.
I've read the boards regarding local pickup and accepting cash only. I understand one should put "local pickup only" in title & description, and state "contact seller for other forms of acceptable payments" in the description.
However, even with doing the above, how can a seller accept cash only on a local pickup if eBay requires them to choose one acceptable electronic method of payment (I.e. PayPal for example) in their listing (which I think is ludicrous)?
Correct me if I'm wrong but you cannot state "cash only" in the listing even if it is local pickup.
So what happens if you put "local pickup only" everywhere in your listing, include the "contact seller for payment options" but the buyer pays via PayPal? You're screwed right?
If you list items to sell in your Ebay store and you want to temporarily cancel the store for several months,
but the lisings have not ened until after store closing... what happens to the items listed.
do they stay in ebay as items for sale or are they taken down when you cancel the store...

In December, a seller sold me an iPhone advertised as manufacturer refurbished. One dead phone and a trip to the Apple store's Genius Bar later, I know that it wasn't. Seller refused to refund me. I told them I would file a claim. Only eBay won't show me my purchased items going back that far when I go to file a claim.
What now? Am I out of luck? Is there any way to file a claim on an item I purchased six months ago?
i have a t-shirt for sale for $3, i do NOT have make an offer listed, but a potential buyer asked me this: "would you take 1.85 for shirt and im willing to pay the shiping price as you wanted im willing to pay 5.00 for shirt WITH shipping".....is that appropriate, i didn't think it was, if i had 'make an offer' checked yes, but i don't. What do i say to this person w/o fear of retaliation of some sort? This has me rather upset, as i am only charging $3.15 on shipping also. They are quibbling over $1.15? What do i say to this person? As $3 for a nice shirt is not a lot to ask to begin with.
How do you list 1 item in 2 different categories?
Hi, I tried to install Turbo Lister on windows 10. it will not install at all. Is there a newer version that is compatible with win 10?
Thanks!
I am the seller and I already printed the shipping label but the buyer doesn't want the item anymore. I am okay with that... Who has to cancel the order ? I can't find it anymore because it's not under sold anymore I don't know why even if it was yesterday. Buyer says I have to cancel the order but I don't know what to do...
I'm a bit confused as I just recieved a message saying that the seller of an item I bought, paid for and recieved a couple of months ago has opened a cancellation case on the item. No reason has be supplied for this. This notification also says that if I don't respond by the 20th of this month that they have the right to cancel the transaction without my consent. I don't really understand. Are they wanting me to ship the item back to them in exchange for a refund? Can I just respond and say no? If I don't respond by the listed date and they cancel it without my consent will I then be legally required to send the item back to them?
I purchased an item on 5/11/2016. It was stated in the description that everthing was tested and working.
I received the item on 5/14/2016. Later that night, the item (which I gave to my boyfriend as a graduation present) was turned out and it turned out it did not work.
On 5/15/2016 my boyfriend and i tried everything to get it to work. We updated the firmware/system and it never worked. It turned on, but obviousl was a defective system.
Later that day i reached out to the seller, opened a return/refund request for a not working/defective item, and told them of my situation.
They replied a day later on 5/16/2016, and gave me a return address, but did not accept the return request; they just told me to send it back. I did not want to send the item without the return label or having the seller accept the return request (out of safety for me and my money). I replied asking them if the would accept the request, and then I would have the item on its way (once again-- out of safety for me and my money. I wanted to go through the correct process for returns.)
They messaged me back saying I had received the item that day (5/16/2016) and that I should view a video about the product to ensure that that it was actually defective. I replied to them that I had received it a few days ago and had tried everything to get the item to work, but it never did. I was more than willing to pay for return shipping and was ready to send it out, give them the reciept, and receive my refund.
They replied back with ending the refund/return request, refunding my money, and messaging me saying I should keep the item and maybe I can get it fixed.
Should I be worried? I do not want to get scammed or have something happen a month later where I'm getting asked for my money because I never returned the item-- like I said, the seller insisted I keep it. Is this common practice? Should I stop worrying.
Thank you for your time.
Member has sent me a message saying the shipping is to expensive would I charge less on an item I have listed as BIN. Not sure how to reply. I have only sold a few items here and not sure if I should reply that I would be willing to lower the price $5 to pay for half the shipping?
