Cool spot with good food!

Came here for Sunday brunch and surprisingly was seated upon entry.

The place was jam packed but the service didn't suffer because of it.

We enjoyed a nice brunch buffet which had offerings for everyone. From delicious deviled eggs to roasted Brussels sprouts to chicken and steak skewers and waffles, the spread was endless.  

Everything was good and the mimosa deal came with what seemed like a gallon of champagne and a carafe of orange juice for only $25.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the staff was very attentive and friendly.

Ted's Bulletin. The best thing at Ted's is the milkshakes. Unfortunately, like everything else at Ted's it is overpriced at $8 each. I couldn't tell the difference between the bison burger and a regular burger, but the burger was good none the less! The service is great. I don't love the cut off feeling of the restaurant with the huge dark furniature.

I'm so happy with my purchase. Louis and his team did a lovely job and were very attentive to details and my interests in getting a blazer. I will definitely be back the next time I need a suit or sport coat made.

Sweet Fire Donna's is definitely a cool place with a very relaxed, chill vibe. I wasn't quite sure what to expect as NOVA isn't particularly well known for good barbeque. It's clear that Sweet Fire Donna's is a local favorite - I saw tons of people hanging out by the bar having a good time. That being said, I got a little excited, but was slightly let down by the food.

That being said, I got a little excited, but was slightly let down by the food.

Will C. and I decided to split their #2 Sweet Fire Sampler (serves 1-2), which comes with 1/4 lb. sliced brisket, pulled pork, burnt-ends, and a 2-bone slab of pork ribs. This sampler also comes with two sides (we had mac & cheese and collard greens) and a slice of cornbread. There are also four different sauce varieties at each table - Original, Honey Dijon, Carolina Vinegar Sauce, and a mustard-y type of sauce (the exact name escapes me). I really liked the mustard sauce the best as it added that perfect little kick after each bite. I have to say that I enjoyed the sides a lot more than I enjoyed the meat. The mac & cheese and collard greens were both delicious though I found the cornbread to be quite dry.

My favorite meats were probably the pulled pork or the burnt ends - the others didn't really leave an impression on me. I'm sure I'll be making return visits; I'll be sure to stick with the pulled pork and burnt ends (apparently, they sell out of their burnt ends every night, so get there early if you really want to try it).
