But there is a "consciousness" of the echo chamber of reddit, and you can get a decent idea of it by spending some time on here. Content hating on English majors is consistently upvoted on here for example, and that's part of the overall consciousness of the site- even though there are actual English majors here. When I refer to "reddit" here I'm talking about the general consciousness.
