The parts of the film the article focuses on are what made the film interesting and horrific to me. Then they squandered all of that and concluded it with whatever that travesty was.

If they had followed the set up I think it would have made for a much deeper and more meaningful psychological horror rooted in the dark corners of the industry as they exist.

I haven't seen Starry Eyes yet, but it's on my watch list.

I did watch Scream 3 the other night though and that seemed way more messed up this time around. The Weinstein Company produced a movie about an actress being raped at a producer's house, how it ruined her life, and ultimately led to the Woodsboro murders. Even more messed up is that Rose McGowan was cast in the first movie, who has accused Weinstein of raping her. What was he thinking?
