TIL a philosophy riddle from 1688 was recently solved. If a man born blind can feel the differences between shapes such as spheres and cubes, could he, if given the ability, distinguish those objects by sight alone? TIL Scientists at UCLA noticed that "time and time again" people suffered their first experience with anxiety or depression right after stomach illnesses. TIL of Robert Johnson, a blues musician who played on street corners and died at 27 with little success. 23 years later, in 1961, his LP was reissued and became a huge influence on rock 'n roll, including Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton, who called him "the most important blues singer that ever lived."
