About this subreddit:
This subreddit is a subreddit dedicated to making a single texture, or a all the textures for a single block, each day. It can be taken multiple ways - a challenge, a motivation, a fun thing to do. The original idea started at /r/minecraft thanks to a post by /u/ndurzo64, and thanks to the efforts of /u/EpicDragon100, it became a subreddit of its own, and has expanded from there.
Subreddit rules:
No posts unrelated to the texture pack or current discussion.
Any and all trolls will be dealt with, and you will be banned instantly and permanently.
Creative criticism is fine, just don't be an ass. "This texture is shit, change it" "That color makes it look like a steaming pile of horse shit, what are you, colorblind?" etc. will not be tolerated. Also, creative critisism should be supported. Not just "This is bullshit" with no explanation or suggestions.
Breaking the rules 5 times will get you banned. You will be informed when you have broken a rule.
No bigoted/racist/sexist/homophobic comments or posts. The poster will be instantly banned and the post removed.
Your title must include which texture or set of textures it is, and the date. You must also flair your post, details are described here.
An example title & format:
<Title/Pack Name> - <Texture> - <Notes/Short comment> - <Date>

Note: this is just an example, there are other formats that can be followed.
- Because of the ambiguity of dates, as different parts of the world have different ways to date things, dates should either use the DD/MM/YY format, or the MMM/DD/YY, where MMM is the first 3 letters of the months:

Custom flair application:
The more textures there are submitted to the subreddit, the harder it is for viewers to tell which texture belongs to which pack/person. If you are a texture artist, you may want to give your users a little bit of ease when viewing textures, by submitting a request for a custom flair. The following rules/steps must be followed or there is no guarantee that you will receive it:
- The request must be sent to /u/Teh_Sauce_Guy and must be titled "custom flair request", or something noticeable similar. Messages to other moderators or to the subreddit itself will be ignored. If you do not wish for an image for your flair, do not provide a link, and simply state that you do not wish for an icon (the second part is important, otherwise I will inquire into the absence of an icon).
- You must have completed and submitted a minimum of 4 textures, each one at least 1 day apart.
- The body of the message must contain:
- a) A link to an image (preferably on imgur) that you wish to have as your flair's icon. This image can be a maximum of 64 pixels wide, and a maximum of 16 pixels tall. Larger images will be resized, or denied. If you do not wish for an image for your flair, do not provide a link, and simply state that you do not wish for an icon (the second part is important, otherwise I will inquire into the absence of an icon).
- b) The texture pack's title, which will be displayed next to your username and icon. If you can't think of a name, you can call it "<yourusername>'s WIP pack" and then send /r/textureaday a message once you wish to change it. You can also choose to omit the title entirely.
- c) Optionally, links to the 4 textures you have submitted. It is not needed, however if I cannot find the 4, textures needed to be eligible, the flair will not be granted.
- If at any time you wish to change your flair after being already approved, such as when the texture pack's icon may change, you only need to follow steps 1 and steps 3a and/or 3b.
