This sub is dedicated to discussing improvisational theater where actors create a performance without a script (a.k.a "improv" or "impro"). We're happy to have you whether you are a seasoned performer or a tentative beginner.
Vague Guidelines
• Good submissions feature interesting improv-related content or questions that foster discussion.
• Don't be a jerk.
There is no no jokes policy. We're all funny people and we like jokes, which means bits sometimes happen around here. But please think twice about posting that sarcastic remark because it might not read. We're all going to try and create a safe, fun, and funny community. Remember Vague Guideline #2! Don't be a jerk!
Videos/recordings of improvised scenes, short form games, and long form sets are welcome! Short, loosely-scripted videos are probably more appropriate over at /r/SketchComedy or /r/improvcomedy.
If you'd like to promote your show, audition, class, or new video, please use the Weekly /r/improv talk about your upcoming shows! stickied thread. Plugs and promos placed outside that thread will be removed.
Even if you're not submitting, you can still "Yes, and" good discussions by upvoting and contributing to them.
And, as much as we appreciate music in our lives, this probably isn't the exact right place to post your improvised dance or piano piece.
