All fragrance recommendation requests should go in the Weekly "Recommend me a fragrance" thread stickied at the top of the subreddit. Requests for fragrance recommendations outside of that thread will be removed. If the purpose of your post is to get advice from the community about what to wear, what to buy, what fragrance is best for you, etc, it counts as a recommendation request.

/r/fragrance is a subreddit for discussion, not advertising. If it feels like the goal of a particular post is to advertise a company or brand, the mods will remove it. Sometimes people love particular companies or brands and want to post about them and/or recommend them to people. That's totally fine, so long as you're just a fan. If you're just a fan and have no other connection to the brand or company, post away.
Giveaways, special offers, etc. fit into a grey area. Please discuss/clear them with the mods before posting.
Splits or sales should be posted to subs or sites specifically created for that purpose. /r/fragrance is intended for discussion, not selling. Please do not make these types of posts here.
