Vibration Support in Daydream Controller?

In the presentation from Daydream Labs, the speakers mention how immersive vibration and haptic feedback can be for VR experiences. I can't find any mention of vibration support in the Daydream controller or existing API. Any word on whether vibration will be supported?

Hello everyone! I'm a newcomer into the VR scene, but I have been learning Android development for well over a year. My question to those with more experience:

What would the community recommend to learn - Google VR SDK for Unity or Android?

A little background. I'm currently a math tutor who wants to help make math more accessible and engaging. There are plenty of very smart people already working on this and I would love to be part of the collective effort to improve education.

Google has just decided to team up with The Drum, a UK-based magazine to offer free Google Cardboard headsets to all subscribers. The headset will be included in the latest issue of the magazine, which focuses primarily on virtual reality. Users will then be able to use the headset and a smartphone to view a laundry list of VR content that The Drum has made available on their website, as well as unrelated VR content available all over the inter...

Hi I'm looking for implementing Gaze function into Unity Slider UI, but since it could not get gazed position, it was not successful. I am using Event Trigger(Point Enter) to get the input.

Any idea for using gaze with Unity Slider??

I haven't used the default Unity slider, but here is an example of a horizontal slider bar for a button in VR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmpZojt1vLY

With one click you can turn any public Instagram account into a virtual museum. For all you Instagram obsessed, your prayers of having your heavily VSCOed snapshots hang on the walls of the Louvre have finally been answered – in virtual reality that is. The folks over at 3D-model platform Sketchfab have cooked up another …

Is there some place to do a feature request for the GVRSDK? Alternatively, is there a place to download the source code of the SDK itself (not the examples)?

Many people complain over the fact that they need to hold their Google Cardboard headsets to their face. Why couldn't the design by Google feature a real hands-free headstrap? While Google's reason to the community was simply for comfort reasons, the real reason is because forcing a user to hold the headset to their head greatly reduces the quickness in which they can turn. Think about it for a second. With a headstrap on your head, you ca...

Hello guys! I tested CoSpaces, an app where you can create 3D spaces and visualize them in VR, and here are some of my thoughts about it: https://goo.gl/092hUi

Hope you enjoy and check out the house I created :D

Hi there, my office needs to contact a team member at Google cardboard. Preferably in their marketing department. Does anybody on here know how to source direct emails? It is fairly important but will this be a difficult task?? Thanks for your help in advance. :)

Yes it will be hard. Best is to ask fellow Cardboard developers.

Using the current Unity GoogleVR integration the pointer now seems to click where you touch the screen and not what is under the reticle.

This is a problem on my current cardboard which has a trigger on the top of the cardboard.

Is there a setting to disable the Y coordinate of the pointer when clicking?

Google Cardboard -- So simple you could eat it -- Quite Literally! http://vrtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?2629-Google-Cardboard-So-simple-you-could-eat-it-Quite-Literally
I saw this article on Gizmodo (http://sploid.gizmodo.com/this-vr-headset-is-edible-and-delicious-1780071034) this morning and thought it was just too awesome not to share. Make, which is a magazine for makers has developed a Google Cardboard headset made out of graham crackers and icing. The only non-edible part are the lenses themselves. Caleb Kraft who is a writer for the magazine also happens to be a huge VR fan and supporter, so its no sur...

Hi, Does anyone had success installing Android N SDK on something other than the Nexus 6p?
From the pre-req site it seems the Nexus 6p is the only supported phone now (?!?!) - but maybe someone can surprise us with some good news...

Row, row, row your boat ...
Virtual reality and exercise.

This is a virtual #rowingmachine developed for the #HTCVive. It'll set you back $13k so I'm wondering, would it be possible to make that cheaper?

I'm no developer but I'd think that it should be possible to make an app for an untethered #virtualreality headset like the #SamsungGearVR or the upcoming #Daydream headsets. After all rowing has a predefined set of movements which should be easily detectable via the motion sensors in the #GearVR headset or Daydream compatible phones. Imagine, instead of paying thousands for a #VR rowing machine you take the headset you already own to your local gym, buy an app for five bucks and off you go.

Hey, developers. Am I wrong in assuming this could be done? In future updates you could even add scenes for other #fitness machines like static bicycles, skiing machines, etc. What a way to get your #exercise done. I'm sure this would sell. Think about it! 😉

May the Plus be with you,
+Jens Graikowski

The Google VR / Cardboard SDK release process is driving me crazy. How can it be this disorganized? First version 0.7 was released, but the download was still labeled as 0.6. Now there are no download links, just the GitHub repo and in that repo, there is a tag called 0.8.0, but this tag is not version 0.8! No, instead you have to look through the commit history to find the 0.8 commit. And there are also two different commits both labeled 0.7!

I work on a product that has to interface with Cardboard/GoogleVR and it causes my clients lots of problems when they think they're using a specific version of the SDK but they're actually using a different one. This has caused me many hours of debugging.

Google, please provide clear download links for specific version of the SDK and also, please tag the versions correctly in GitHub.

Hi everyone.
I have recently finished my game, but I dont know what changes I have to make to the manifest before uploading it to the Play Store. The game is complete, and is now signed using my keystore. It works fine on my test device but I am unsure of what changes must now be made to the manifest before uploading it to the Play Store.

Can someone please help me out ?

Not sure why it's hidden in an example but it's the only place I could find that info when I released my first game a couple of months ago.
