Feedback for Developer Wonderful app, hands down my favorite as far as streaming music goes. One persistent problem I see showing up but not mentioned anywhere else is that a previously watched video/song is mysteriously not found later in the Offline Mixtape. Of course I can choose to stream the song all over again but having the song already downloaded is much more convenient than streaming 30mb of a song I listen to consistently. Thank you for the app and acknowledgement of this bug would be appreciated!

Just like the regular YouTube app It's not a very good music app. It's just like YouTube. The music stops playing when you lock the screen or go to the home screen of your phone.(just like the YouTube app) I wish that the music could play in the background. It works fine if you are just listening to music, but you can do this on YouTube as well. But I like to browse my other apps while listening to music and I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this. I would rate higher if I could listen to my music in the background without paying.

Two things to add ????? I love the app it is extremely easy to use but I have two things to add that might make it better. First of all maybe have it to where you can have your phone or device screen off and still be able to without buying YouTube red and I know you need at least some way to get money out of it but maybe think of some other ways to get money. Second of all and I think a lot of people will agree with me but add in a feature that we can get rid of ads you could have them spend like a dollar a month for no ads.

Nice to have Yet another service to nickel and dime me to death. $9.95 a month sounds ok but everybody wants ten or twenty bucks for this and that. No, I cannot, actually I will not pay for another service that I don't have nearly enough time to get my monies worth out of it. Sometimes it's just better to not see the video. I like iHeart Radio because I can play it in the background. Maybe offer a version that's just music and let it be free. Google offers so many useful tools and apps, but I just can't pay for this.

Worked for a week! Worked properly right when I downloaded it, then after about a week i couldn't shut off the screen or do anything else while music played or it would stop. Might as well use the regular you tube app if I can't even shut off my screen while listening to music! Tried updating and uninstalling/reinstalling.. neither worked!

Simply, a paid version of YouTube Simple features like playing a video (music video) when screen is turned off or when the app is running in the background, are available only for paid users. It didn't look like Google's way of doing things. These simple features are available on most of the video player (eg: MX player) the days

No Network Connection Both YT and YT-M stopped working today, "No Network Connection" I thought it could be a server error but this is highly unlikely, all other data dependant services work so my network connection is fine. I also know that YT-M changes the functionality of YT which would explain why YT doesn't work anymore. This error is unexpected and prevents users from using the service.

Only a few minor issues I love this app & use it daily! Just wish it was compatible w/ my tablet! Also the past 2 days random videos wouldn't play & would say no connection, I would exit out & go back, even rebooted my phone, still no luck. Next day they worked fine but now its different ones doing it!?

Pointless unless you want to shell out money Why release a completely different app when you could've just added these features to YouTube? The same thing happens w both when you leave the screen - it asks you if you want to pay for YouTube Red. How ridiculous that the concept of playing select songs is impossible to fathom unless money is involved

Great but 1 flaw I put this down as one star so people and possibly Google will see this. I have only 405 videos liked that are music related for this app and when I go to play my liked songs, it only brings up 200 of them. Will not bring up the other 205 or even play them either. Really was liking this app for the past month until today. Now I just listen to all 405 on the normal YouTube app

Obvious flaws This app is useless. The playlists that it generates for you are off the wall and not related to the original piece of music. The controls are flawed, because you can't remove a song from one of their garbage playlists they create. It can't stick to a genre at all. Just listen to the ads and don't waste your money.

Good while it works It stops suddenly in the middle of a song. Sometimes it's just paused, while other times it closes the app completely. I use this a lot but am getting frustrated to the point of considering unsubscribing. Why pay for it if it constantly crashes?

Useless unless u pay The only way To be able to leave the music playing while the app is off is by having youtube red, the app reads free, but u have to pay 10 bucks a month just to listen to music while the app isn't on. That's messed up!

No background play, unless you pay 100% useless unless you give them money. It is literally the youtube app with a different skin. Had for an entire 15 seconds, until it told me I had to pay 10 bucks a month for it to do its job. I will gladly just download every song manually. Choke on it, youtubemusic.

Completely worthless It's literally the YouTube app under a different name and a slightly different UI. What is the point of downloading a separate app just for music if it doesn't let you switch apps or turn your screen off? I'll stick to pirating, thanks.

Streaming is awful with video turned off Streaming with video off is awful. Sometimes it decides to stream without interruption and other times it will pause to load every 20 seconds and in the same place like at my gym. I've closed out all other apps to see if something else could be affecting it. Video is of course off. Total garbage. Will not be paying for this after free month.

Needs Much Work What's the point of a dislike button if you will still play the songs I have distinguished as do not wish to hear? Also, despite the abundant amount of Stations, Albums, Songs, and Playlists I have liked, it still is unable to personalize a playlist with similar songs? For example, if all my liked music is gospel genre why play heavy exploited rap as similar? Plus I would like the ability to like Artists and not just specific albums and songs.

Illogical, might as well use youtube Let's just start off by saying this app is pointless. If you're someone that doesn't want to pay to be able to exit out of the app and still have music play, then you might as well just use the normal youtube app. It's just kind of dumb that they make a dedicated music app, but you have to pay to be able to close the app and still have music play. Basically every music app besides this one let's you close out of it and still hear music, even if that said app has features you have to pay for such as Spotify.

Could be better There's no way to add albums, but I guess that's because they have their bundled subscription to Google Play Music, and this isn't a replacement for that. It's a service to work together with Play Music. So for what it is, it mostly works. Although I get music reviews suggested, which isn't actually music. This often shows up in my offline mixtape, which gets a bit annoying. Please fix this.

Could be better I like it, it's good that it's just for music. But it's stupid that I can't keep playing music when my phone screen turns off. I don't care about the offline music, lack of ads, or background play, I just want to play music when my phone screen turns off and not have to pay for it. I get that that technically falls under background play but it doesn't have to. Take a page out of Spotify's book, YouTube.

Trying to be optimistic here This app constantly stops working mid song or doesn't work altogether. Tried another phone, does the exact same thing. I thought having to keep my screen on(free version) was a nuisance but having the songs never load or constantly stopping and having the screen say retry is the worst. If this is how the free version works, there is absolutely zero incentive to pay for it.

Much, much better Stability issues have been addressed, playback controls have been improved, and the ability to make playlists has been added (THANK YOU). Areas to improve: UI could still use a little more tidying up, and the ability to choose which songs are available offline would be nice, as well as an increase in how many songs you can save.

Excellent, should be free This is exactly what Google needs to make readily available. Put 5 second ad pauses between every few tracks, I don't care! But make this free. Let YouTube red be a paid app without ads and more features.

Why this app blows!! This app is terrible for listening to music because the adds can't be skipped with those Bluetooth ear buds making hard to use while having it sit in the corner playing music. Would not recommend, its better to use the normal YouTube app instead.

Not really worth purchasing It's annoying that normal youtube videos connect to this app. When I drive I don't want to hear damn daniel. Also, can't customize offline music (only 100 songs) 😒

Its good but... I would give it 4 stars because although it does its job in only being for misic i find that just sticking to regular youtube is better because it saves space. this app offers the same thing as youtube but I think over all that this is a good app but i would prefer to stick to regular youtube

Stupid and pointless. Can't turn screen off or other things on phone without paying $120 a year. What is so hard about letting the user do other things on the phone or turn the screen off and still listen to the music? It really costs $10 a month for that service to exist? Good but clunky I really love this app and I find it very convenient to use as I dance the only thing I would like to see changed is what can go into your mixtape. I know that it auto detects what you have been listening to but a little of customizing after it gives you your list would bring it together and make the app go alot farther.

Share button? I like this app a lot. The feel of it how it navigates. Kinda reminds me a little A LITTLE of the Amazon music app. The only reason I rated it 4 is because I would like to share the videos onto my social media and I don't see a way of doing that.

Good, but lacking The app is very well put together although, the features everyone would like the app to have (such as being able to exit the app while still playing music, are only for YouTube Red users, making the app not much different from regular YouTube. Marketing Miss Hey...I like the app, love the array of music, but someone in Marketing missed the mark with the app icon. YT (whitey) Music. Today we know it means You Tube, but tomorrow who knows. I don't think it is over reaching either. Oh My Gosh went to OMG to Oh Em Gee...who knows what millenials will do with this simple non-offensive acronym...who knows.

I got this because I wanted to listen to music that I can only find on YouTube... Turns out it's the same YouTube app with a different skin. Still have to watch the video to hear the music, unless you buy YouTube Red... Which is the same thing I could have done with the regular YouTube app. Waste of storage space.
