No Article Search Capability
If you're looking for a specific topic on Huffington Post & want to search, better go to a desktop because this app has no built-in article search capability. It used to, but someone decided that being able to search for a particular article isn't a relevant feature.
Really? Huffington Post: you don't believe anyone wants to search for a news article? Do you also believe Google has been wasting it's time developing its search engine?
At least the app isn't crashing as some are experiencing.
Opinionated to the point of falsification
I used to open this app everyday but it has become so extremely liberal I had to delete all together. Specifically the most liberal pieces make it to the front pages though there are other great pieces tucked away throughout the app relating to innovation and introspection.
It seems some of the authors or "journalists" have high jacked this news outlet with their own beliefs. I think all political parties have some ideas with merit and don't subscribe to the herd mentality that most people identify with regarding politics. I mention this to inform you I am judging this app from a place of objectivity.
Some of the articles are not news. They are instead a collection of opinions from a concentrated groups with highly apparent limited belief systems.
Keep swinging the proverbial fists of free speech just try not to hit anyone.
Hot knife through butter
One errant touch of the thumb while scrolling and poof, you're either back at the top of an article, or you’re on to the next article. (This problem is the worst of its many flaws, and HuffPo seems determined not to fix it.) The app sometimes refreshes content in the middle of user navigation. Stylistically, it now looks like a trashy tabloid, with loud, garish headlines.
Content is often interesting, though replete with grammatical errors. Headlines do not accurately reflect content. News articles are heavily slanted.
