Option to disable Nudge button?

Hi,

I would like to have the option to disable/hide the nudge button.

I nudge people by misstake sometimes and that annoys me.

Hehe I had a bit of a giggle when I accidently Nudged/Buzzed? someone for the first time on Pidgin, "Yay I have a closer to MSN client experience". I like it of course but I'm sure some would like an option to take the button away.

I'd also like to see this fixed. Most people I talk to are annoyed by nudges, and Pidgin put the nudge button in a really bad place for me. I always end up clicking on it inadvertently when I try to focus a window.

It wouldn't be so bad if the "official" MSN/Windows Live client didn't shake and make a bunch of noise when nudged, but it does and lots of people hate being nudge. And I hate accidentally clicking on the button.

I believe charding is making a plugin to hide it :)

Also, for the record, it's quite possible to disable the entire toolbar (from the Options menu), which obviously isn't exactly the same, but works equally well.

Save the hide_attention_button.c and Makefile files in a directory and type 'make' and 'sudo make install'

Closing as fixed due to charding's plugin (and the fact it's possible to disable the entire formatting toolbar ;) )

Since they've shut down the MSN/Live servers (or will very soon), this is no longer necessary.

Hello.

First, let me say, that I really like Pidgin. It is a great software, and you did great job making it.

But this ✽✽✽✽ing button makes me cringe. Don't get me wrong, but this button REALLY needs to go. I hate it. I hate it with all the passion, one can hate the button. It is worthless. Worthless, annoying, frustrating and wrong, because I don't know anyone, who ever used it consciously. It gets to your way all the time and almost every day, I get the message "sorry, I didn't want to buzz you, it just this ✽✽✽✽ing button, I ✽✽✽✽ing hate it" all the time.

Please, remove it, or just add option to hide it. This plugin someone posted here is hard to compile and it didn't work for me anyway.
