1. How do I get started?
All you need is a site account and a credit card to get started.
2. How do I create my account?
New Advertiser - If this is your first time to advertise with The Wall Street Journal you can either (1) create a new site account now or (2) while creating your first ad.
Current Advertiser - You will need to add Classified Self-Service to your existing billing account. To get started, request your log in information. For security purposes, a member of our support team will contact you to verify ownership of the account.
3. How do I contact customer service?

4. How do I create my first ad?
All you need is a site account and a credit card to get started.
1. Create a site account or log in
2. Choose ad category - select the category and sub-category that best describes your ad
3. Select ad package - select the appropriate ad package
4. Enter ad - enter ad text, select print style and upload photos
5. Choose distribution and dates - choose where and when you want your ad appear
6. Increase visibility - add optional upgrades to your order
7. Review and pay - review and place for your order

5. How will my print ad look?

• Use a clear call-to-action familiar to your target audience
Description (unlimited text)
• Explain key features and benefits of your product or service
Contact Details (unlimited text)
• Your name, company and preferred communication method
Photo or Logo (optional)
• Photo or logo should relate to the product, brand or service you are advertising
• Choose an image file that is clearly visible when resized and converted to black-and-white
• Make sure to upload a high-resolution jpeg or jpg (300 dpi or higher)
• Your image file should follow a format similar to yourphoto.jpg or yourphoto.jpeg
6. Will my ad look exactly like the preview shows?
While the ad preview is representative of how your ad will look in The Wall Street Journal, the published ad may differ slightly.
7. Where will my ad be published?
One or more of the following will determine where your ad will appear: (1) ad category, (2) ad package, (3) distribution area and (4) optional upgrades.
• Available publications: The Wall Street Journal, The Wall Street Journal Europe, The Wall Street Journal Asia and Barron's
• Available websites: WSJ.com and FINS.com
8. How much does it cost?
The cost of your ad is calculated using one or more of the following:
• Ad category
• Ad package
• Size of print ad
• Circulation of distribution area
• Number of times ad is scheduled
• Number of optional upgrades
Start at $... - These provide you an idea of what your ad could cost if you make certain selections. They are based on: (1) non-contract rates and (2) minimum ad size accepted for selected ad category. Note: "Start At" does not reflect contract rates.
My contract rates - After you log in, rates will automatically adjust to your contract level. Note: "Start At" does not reflect contract rates.
Setup a new contract - If you advertise regularly with The Journal, you may be eligible for contract rates. To setup a new contract, you will need to complete our verification process. To get started, please call 800-845-9719 or Contact Us.
9. In what languages can I place my ad?
At this time we only allow ads to be written in English.
Log in to create an ad. Select a category and start creating your ad. You can save your ad as a "Draft Ad". It will not publish unless you select a payment option and click the "Place Order" button.
10. How do I find my ads?
You will need to log in to view your ads. To find your ads (1) click on the "Draft Ads," "Current Ads" or "Expired Ads" links located in the Your Ads section of the Dashboard or (2) click "Your Ads" located in the site navigation.
Draft Ads - These are ads you have saved to complete later. To complete or edit your ad, click the "Finish This Ad" button.
Current Ads - Your current orders created online or on the phone with a representative. To view an order, click "View Ad Details". To run ad again, view an order and click the "Run This Ad Again" button.
Expired Ads - These are your previous ad orders. To view an ad order, click "View Ad Details". To run ad again, view an order and click the "Run This Ad Again" button.
11. How do I find and finish my saved ad?
1. Click "Your Ads".
2. Select the "Draft Ads" tab.
3. Locate the appropriate saved ad.
4. Click the "Finish This Ad" button.
12. How do I cancel my ad?
At this time you cannot use this site to cancel your ad. If you need to change or cancel an ad, call customer service at 800-845-9719 or Contact Us. Please have your order number ready or include it in your email.
13. Where can I find my order number?
1. Click "Your Ads".
2. Select the "Draft Ads, "Current Ads" or "Expired Ads" tab.
3. Locate the appropriate ad order.
4. Your order number can be found in the first column (Order #).
14. Can I edit an ad after I have placed my order?
At this time you cannot use this site to edit an ad after the order has been placed. If you need to change or cancel an ad, call customer service at 800-845-9719 or Contact Us. Please have your order number ready or include it in your email.
15. How do I re-run an ad from a previous order?
1. Click either "Current Ads" or "Expired Ads" under Your Ads located on the Dashboard.
2. Find the ad you want to re-run and click the "View Ad Details" button.
3. Click the "Re-run This Ad" button located towards the bottom of the page and follow the steps.
16. What are my payment options?
Credit Card - Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover
Bill Me Later - We only offer monthly invoicing for approved advertising customers. To learn more about monthly invoicing, call 800-845-9719 or Contact Us.
17. Can I be invoiced for my order?

18. How do I view my account transactions?
Click "Account Transactions" under Your Account located on the Dashboard.
19. Where can I find my saved credit cards?
Click "Account Information" under Your Account located on the Dashboard. Your saved credit cards can be found under the "Credit Card Information" section.
20. How do I delete a saved credit card?
1. Click "Account Information" under Your Account located on the Dashboard and scroll down to the "Credit Card Information" section.
2. Find the credit card you want to delete and click the "Delete" button.
3. After you click the "Delete" button the credit card information is removed from our system.
21. Where can I find my account information?
Click "Account Information" under Your Account located on the Dashboard.
22. Where can I find my account number?
Click "Account Information" under Your Account located on the Dashboard. Your account number is located towards the top of the page.
23. How do I update my account information?
Email Address & Password (Log In) - (1) Click "Account Information" under Your Account located on the Dashboard. (2) Click "Change Email Address or Password" located in the "Email Address & Password" section. (3) Complete the appropriate fields and click the "Update" button.
Contact Information - At this time you cannot update your contact information using this site. If you need to change your name or address, please call customer service at 800-845-9719 or Contact Us. Please have your account number ready or include it in your email.
24. How do I reset my password?
Click "Reset Your Password" located on the "Log In" page. Enter the email address associated with your account. You will receive an email with your new password.

25. How do I get started?
Agency Recognition - New agencies will need to complete our agency verification process. To get started, call 800-845-9719 or Contact Us.
Recognized Agencies New To This Site - You will need to add Classified Self-Service to your existing billing account. To get started, please request your log in information. For security purposes, a member of our support team will contact you to verify ownership of the account.
26. How do I add or remove clients from my account?
For security purposes, you cannot make changes to your client list using this site. Please call customer service at 800-845-9719 or Contact Us. Please have your order number ready or include it in your email.
