Kinsa released an Elmo version of its Smart Ear Thermometer
Kinsa has partnered with Sesame Street to incorporate Elmo into a special edition of its Smart Ear Thermometer, which is designed for young children. The rebranded Smart Ear Thermometer comes with a new color scheme in a very familiar shade of red, and Elmo's voice will be available in Kinsa's app for users of the new device and owners of the existing thermometer, which was released last year.

Speaking to TechCrunch, Sesame Street says this is just the beginning of its push into technology. "It’s a fantastic time to be involved with new technology. Gabriela Arenas, Sesame Street's vice president of licensing said. "We want to be involved with companies that are resonating with the new generation. If a company is new and has some technology that can drive that, that’s a good opportunity for us."
The Sesame Street Smart Ear Thermometer is available today on Kinsa's website for $59 — $10 more than the Elmo-free version — which otherwise is an identical device.
